Meet the Team

Ewan has 31 years experience in the construction materials testing industry (20 in the UK and 11 in New Zealand), with nine years in Laboratory Management roles. He currently manages 14 staff at the Auckland Laboratory and has vast experience in several testing areas, currently specialising in asphalt mix design. Ewan provides quality assurance services for the control of materials, resources and production for all of Downer’s Auckland surfacing requirements. He is responsible for maintaining IANZ accreditation NZS/ISO/IEC 17025 in the Auckland Laboratory and also ensuring health and safety and training of laboratory staff is kept to high standards. He has been directly involved in several large contracts, including current maintenance contracts for Auckland Central and South West Urban and the Waterview Connection contract. Ewan is currently on the commitee of CETANZ and has been a member since its inception.
